Employee Benefits |
|
Bi-Mart understands the importance of providing health and financial security to you and your family.
We strive to attract and retain the best employees and we believe that we accomplish this by offering
a comprehensive benefits package. This package, on average, adds 40% to our employees’ total compensation. |
Following three months of employment, eligible employees may purchase merchandise from any store location, at any
front-end register, at a discount. |

Bi-Mart makes coverage for preventative care, medical services and supplies, prescription drugs, vision,
dental, and mental health and substance abuse treatment available to our eligible employees and their eligible dependents.
Employees share in the cost of these benefits through pre-taxed payroll deductions. The company and employees share in
the responsibility to control costs as proactive health care consumers. |
|
Basic insurances such as life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability are also provided. |

401(k)
Bi-Mart offers eligible employees the opportunity to save money for retirement on a pre-tax basis.
This program allows employees to defer a portion of their compensation into a tax deferred retirement
plan through the convenience of payroll deduction. As a participant of this program, employees are able
to self-direct their investments into specific mutual funds or take advantage of time frame portfolios, an
investment option based on your expected retirement date that offers a simple way to diversify your retirement
investment. Participants have access to their funds through our loan provision and, under certain circumstances,
may make withdrawals in the case of hardship. |
Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
The ESOP is designed to give each eligible employee participant a share in the ownership of the company
through annual allocations of company stock. Not only do employees benefit from the annual allocation
of shares, but they also get the satisfaction of sharing in the potential success of their company
and working alongside other employees whose common goal is to make their company succeed. |
